I have not tried this yet, but the recipe says that these are very light biscuits. You can make these at the last minute - there are only three ingredients.
- Mix Sprite and sour cream together.
- Add biscuit mix gradually.
- Roll out dough on floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter.
- Bake on lightly greased baking sheet at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
I found this recipe just last night but had to try it today because I was so curious! I had to add a lot more bisquick (probably about a cup) to make this dough thick enough to handle, and it was so sticky that I resorted to drop biscuits instead of rolling and cutting them. In the end though, these were good. They were indeed light and fluffy, though not that much different than the usual bisquick biscuits, and though you'd never guess what the secret ingredient was unless you knew, I could detect the slight tanginess of the Sprite. Good recipe though, and it yieled 27 decent sized biscuits!
