This is based from the Aunt Jemima's recipe, but I modified it to be dairy free and with spelt flour.

This is perfect recipe for spelt. Using spelt which should not be over mixed or kneaded. Used 1/2 buttermilk and 1/2 cup rice milk. Thanks for a tasty treat! Part of my Menu #34323.

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine dry ingredients.
  3. Stir in wet ingredients until combined.
  4. Pour into 8x8 prepared pan and bake until golden brown, 20-25 minutes or until toothpick pulls clean.
