This recipe has been a favorite of mine since I got it n the mail in 1984. I made it for my high school sweetheart for our 6 month anniversary, and it was the best thing! Here's hoping that others can create a great memory with it like I did! Ever since then, when anyone mentions potluck, I have been asked to make this and people go crazy over it!

We loved it! Except for subbing garlic powder for fresh garlic (because that's all I had), I followed the directions exactly. Absolutely wonderful - and now we have one pie in the freezer to enjoy next week! Thank you so much for this excellent, easy recipe.

Made this when my daughter had a friend over for the night. They (and we) LOVED it!! And, it's even better heated up the second time. I don't think I'd change a single thing about this one!! Thanks!
