  1. First of all, be careful about your crock pot - "high" is not the same on all of them. I got a bunch of burned peas because I set the pot on High. Secondly, I'm sure that some liquid is missing. I added a tablespoon of water, just in case, and that was another reason I got burned peas and other vegetables. I recommend adding at least a cup of chicken broth or even just water. Otherwise, I don't think you'll get soup, just mushy vegetables. I also substituted a stalk of celery for one of the potatoes. Penny
