Easy Shrimp & Crab Pasta

"I couldn't quite find a recipe with what I had in mind, so after looking at a few different ones, I tried this. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. It is rich, but such a treat!"

directions

  • Saute onion and garlic in butter until onion is nearly translucent.
  • Add oregano, basil, red pepper flakes and salt/pepper.
  • Add half and half, bring to boil.
  • Mix corn starch with enouch water to dilute it, and pour into boiling sauce until you get desired consistency.
  • Stir in crab and shrimp, cook another minute and take off of heat.
  • Spoon over angel hair pasta and enjoy!

  2. I made the recipe with a few tweaks. I added a bag of frozen clams, frozen shrimp, frozen corn, and doubled the other ingredients to feed the family.

  3. After seeing A Good Things picture on the Fall PAC 2007 thread of this meal, I had to give it a try. I only had one can of crabmeat so used that plus two cans of shrimp. I also used old bay seasoning instead of the red pepper flakes. We liked it but I don't think it will be something I would make again.

  1. After seeing A Good Things picture on the Fall PAC 2007 thread of this meal, I had to give it a try. I only had one can of crabmeat so used that plus two cans of shrimp. I also used old bay seasoning instead of the red pepper flakes. We liked it but I don't think it will be something I would make again.

I'm adjusting to cooking for one, even when I only cooked for two, i made enough for an army. I live with my three cats [[i know, you're thinking crazy cat lady]] I love to cook for parties; appetizers, drinks, sweets...cooking for people makes me so much happier than just cooking for myself. Sundays are my all day cook-a-thons. Nothing beats a lazy Sunday, spent making an all day dish and watching football [[I'm torn between Packers and Jets, but I'm leaning toward the latter]] <br> <br>I'm trying to improve my baking skills [[or lackthereof]] Now that I'm on my own, with nothing but time to fill, I'm excited to try my hand at cakes && cookies && pies. <br> <br>I've also recently decided to cut meat out of my diet, so I'm on the lookout for declicious, easy vegetarian//vegan recipes. It really is amazing how once you stop focusing on meat in a meal, your eyes sort of open up for so many possibilities. I love it. <br> <br> <br>I'm a real simple lady.
