Good base recipe! I did change it up a bit though. I made home made garlic mashed potatoes for the topping. I didn't use garlic salt in the mix, instead I sauted a tablespoon of garlic with my onion in a pan then added it in the mix when I mixed everything else together. I also used frozen veggies in mine. Will make again! Thanks! :)
This is a great comfort food! Turned out really well and so easy to make. Leftovers warmed up were even better. I added chopped celery to the ground beef saute and used frozen veggies instead of canned in the mixture. Will definitely make this again and again.
Awesome and easy. I made it in less than 30mins. My husband thought it too was awesome.
Easy and Delicious. My kids love it! Thanks for a terrific recipe!
Easy and yummy! Only change I made was using cream of mushroom soup that had garlic in it already.
Simple to make and taste wonderful!
I used 2 packets of instant butter and herb mashed potatoes (8 servings), and cream of celery cuz that's what I had in the pantry, and frozen peas carrots and corn. Also added a tbsp of hamburger seasoning and a tbsp of garlic powder, sauteed mushrooms and sprinkled the cheese on for the last 10 mins of cooking. I think next time I will use more ground beef, as I felt there was too much mashed potatoes as oppose to meat.
Couldn't be more simple! I would not have thought to use tater-tots, will try that next time because the kids love those.
What a fabulous recipe - just like the Shepherd's Pie that I ate in Amish Country! For 12 people, I doubled all the ingredients, adding about a cup of frozen peas instead of mixed vegetables. Also I used garlic powder rather than garlic salt. Yum! Several of my guests requested the recipe.
