Easy Russian Salad Dressing
"This is a tried and true recipe used on the green salad served by our church for their annual "Spaghetti Feed"."

ingredients
- 118.29 ml vegetable oil
- 118.29 ml vinegar
- 118.29 ml catsup
- 118.29 ml firmly packed brown sugar
- 0.25 ml dry basil
- 0.25 ml celery seed
directions
- Mix all ingredients in a covered container. Shake well.
- Let flavors meld and store in refrigerator at least 1 hour ahead of when you need it.
- Mix with green salad ingredients.
- (Also good on fruit salad).

Very good dressing, thick and sweet. Using the brown sugar gives a rich caramel taste to the dressing. Enjoyed this on lettuce side salads, and a main dish salad with grilled chicken strips. -
Excellent! DH has to have orange salad dressings (why?) and this was a great change from the French. Thank you!

I'm recetly retired from State Government (21 yrs). I will be starting a part-time job this week. I recently found this site and have enjoyed looking at recipes. I wanted to find some recipes for dry salad dressing mix (like Good Seasons). I was pleasantly suprised with the abundance of recipes that I found.
