you need to learn to cook or bake or something. followed your recipe to a tee and it resulted in the worst mess I have had in my kitchen in a century. The cake top literally floated and never baked all the way through. Imagine ,my surprised when I flipped it over on the platter.
A trick my mom taught me. Replace the water with the left over pineapple juice from the can. It makes it moist. So good!
Very simple yet very yummy! I lessened the amount of both the sugars but it still turned out sweet. And like some others, I also used the drained pineapple juice instead of water.
I'm not a baker and still thought this was easy to make. Used a 9 X 13 pan and slices of pineapple. Didn't have the cherriesor nuts on hand, used raisins pre-plumped in brandy and tge wife gave it two thumbs up.<br/>Definitely will make again.
Easy, yummy, impressive!! thanks for posting
Wonderful and simple recipe! I threw this together at the last minute for our Easter dinner yesterday. Everyone enjoyed it very much. Thanks for sharing!
Made this for years, but I use the Liquid - Juice from the pineapples in the cake for the water in the cake.
This cake is very simple but delicious. I used pineapple juice in place of water. It taste just as I imagined it would. I'm really happy with the results! I'll make it again for sure.
I lined the 9x13 pan with parchment paper to make the flipping even easier and used pineapple juice rather than water in the cake mix. Other than that, I followed the recipe. My son requested a pineapple upside down cake out of the blue for his birthday cake and I was very happy to find this one!
Turned out wonderful.
