With only 3 ingredients and less than 5 minutes of time needed, it doesn't get much easier or faster than this. This is good for dipping spring rolls (really good!), but also good with cooked meat. This is a sweet peanut sauce, not spicy at all.
- Mix peanut butter and hoisin sauce in a small microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 45 seconds.
- If needed, add some water to thin it out to a medium sauce consistency (not thick like a creamy dip).
- NOTE: 3/8 cup is usually (around me) good for about 4 spring rolls, maybe 2 meal sized servings, or 4 appetizer servings. Serve this warm to room temperature.
I needed something very easy to go with my salad rolls and this was ideal. I added a little more hoison than called for and thinned it as recommended and loved it. Thanks!
Great, exactly what I was looking for! Perfect for satisfying late-night peanut sauce cravings. I used unsweetened peanut butter but still found the sauce too sweet... will have to figure out a way to cut the sweetness down a little. Thanks CraftScout!!!
This IS easy and very acceptable when you need a last minute sauce. I made it to serve with a tray of Krystel's Lumpia. After tasting I added about 1 t. of sambal olek to add some spicy heat. Thank you for sharing your recipe!
