Easy Peach Cobbler

"This recipe is very easy to make. It does not call for any spices, but if desired, sprinkle with cinnamon before baking. Preparation time does not include time to chop peaches or cube bread."

  • 4 cups peaches, chopped (fresh or canned)
  • 6 slices bread, cubed
  • 12 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour

directions

  • Line bottom of 1 1/2-2 quart casserole dish with the chopped peaches, and cover them with bread crumbs.
  • Beat the egg, add melted butter, flour and sugar, mix well and pour evenly over bread crumbs.
  • Bake in preheated 350 degree (Fahrenheit) oven 20-30 minutes or until bread topping is golden brown.

  1. I simply loved this recipe. I made it exactly as directed. I added the flour in with the sugar and melted butter...it didn't really say where to add, but figured this was the place. This will be a regular for me. I will even try this same recipe with other fruits.
