An easy recipe for a great side dish. Goes great with cookouts.
- Wash and chop ends off of green beans, boil for a good 30 minutes to make them tender.
- Lightly cover a medium pan with olive oil.
- When oil is ready, put beans in and sear them while putting the garlic salt and ground pepper on top.
- Sear until desired taste and texture. (about 5 minutes).
These were OK for us. I followed the recipe as written but it was too much garlic flavor for us.
We really enjoyed this recipe. The garlic salt was good on the beans. I added alittle more ground pepper than just a dash. I also added a crushed up chicken bouillon cube for extra flavor in with the olive oil before adding the beans. Thanks for sharing this delicious side dish. :)
We really enjoyed this simple recipe. Hubby liked them so much he asked me to tell him how I cooked them. He said, "Much better than regular ole' boiled beans." I could not find fresh green beans so used frozen and it is probably the only way I'll ever fix frozen beans again. That said, I will try this when the fresh ones are in the store. (: Made for PAC 2007. Thanks, Michael...keep those recipes coming.
