My family and I enjoy this recipe as quick comfort food. It is a crowd pleaser. We serve it with mashed potatoes and skillet green beans (green beans, garlic, and olive oil). I believe the spices are just right but will try adding garlic powder and maybe a little ground red pepper for a kick when the kids pallets allows.
My wife and I did not know what to eat for dinner. While she was out shopping I looked @ Food.com and found this recipe. I tossed it together quickly and tossed it in the oven. It smelled great and tasted even better. My wife loved it. I followed the directions exactly and it was amazing. It is going into our folder of recipes.
The first time i cooked this i followed this recipe. The second time i put the chicken on top of buttered fettuccine with mushrooms and topped it with alfredo sauce. turned out pretty good!!
We made this as written, Was OK. It is almost identical to the recipe on the side of Durkee's French-fried onions can. I agree with the others that have rated this, it needs something more. 3 Star. Thanks for posting it.
I made this dish tonight and we really thought it was great! The only changes I made was to double all of the ingredients except the chicken and add 1/2 tsp. garlic powder. It was really delish!
This is a great idea, though I think it could use some more flavor. We really liked the flavor of the onions but wish there were more of them, and some garlic would be a nice addition as well. I also think that about half the chicken listed would be best for the amount of other ingredients. This is something I will for sure make again though and just play around with. Its a great starting point!
Mrs. Z This recipe is RAWSOME! Keep them coming. Kari
