I'm a foodie, so why on Earth would I give 4 stars to this recipe. Well, because it's saved my butt about 3 times when I was too tired to make anything for dinner. It's not creamy, but it's a good basic recipe and dirties only a few dishes. <br/>Add cooked chicken, ham, broccoli, burger, whatever and you've got hot dish (yep, I'm a Midwesterner. Please don't call it casserole.) If you're as tired as I've been when I've made this, it's a great stand alone mac and cheese. Serve with a bag of salad, fresh fruit, and bam, there's dinner.

Mine turned out pretty blobby and separated, not really creamy at all.

This was very easy & tasted just as good as any Mac & Cheese I've made where I boiled the Macaroni first. I like to use seasoning salt (Nature's by Morton) instead of plain salt. Serve with heated tomatoes on the side. I like to pour it on top. Yummy!

This was good and easy enough to make. I only used 1/2 teaspoon of salt and the same amount of pepper. We thought it could have used a bit more pepper. This cooked up nicely but next time I would cook it just a bit longer because the noodles on the bottom were a bit softer then what we look. We loved the crispy top though. I was a bit leary about making this but it turned out well. I would make it again but would use just a bit more seasoning. It was nice to just put this oven and it cooked up.

This is the second time I've made this. I increased the cheese by about a 1/2 cup, because we really like cheese. I added 2 cups of chopped ham which I added right after the cheese, but before the milk. After adding the milk, I didn't stir as specified, but I did pat down any noodles that were mostly sticking out of the milk so that I would have a bunch of hard crunchies. Even after adding the ham there was enough milk to get all but the top edges of my noodles covered. Don't be tempted to add extra milk if using ham, all the ham juices cook out as is and leave a tiny bit of liquid in the bottom of the pan. It turns out great! Thanks for posting. :)

So easy to make, so quickly! I cut the cheese by half a cup, then melted two tablespoons of cream cheese with the milk in the microwave to make it all creamier. In that milk concoction I also added some mustard powder and worchester sauce! Finally, I added four sliced hotdogs to make it a complete meal! Yum!

Pros: Extremely easy. Bakes to perfection.
Cons: Could use some more flavor.
Very good and easy recipe. Directions are very well written. Tastes okay, but I recommend throwing in extra seasonings. I also recommend adding chicken or some other meat to make it an easy meal.
