Makes a great weekday meal. Kids love this dish. For you people who don't like cheese.
- 8 ounces manicotti, cooked
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 dash pepper
- 3⁄4 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion salt
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- Brown meat and mix with garlic powder, bread crumbs, salt, onion salt, Italian Seasoning, pepper, and 1/2 cup Marinara sauce. Fill manicotti with the meat mixture. Pour half of the Marinara sauce in 9 inch x 13 inch casserole dish. Lay in manicotti and cover with remaining sauce. Bake about 40 minutes in 350 degree oven.
This was really good! I like manicotti but not a big fan of ricotta cheese so this is perfect without it. I had some leftover meat sauce so used that instead of the marinara sauce and I did add a little parmesan cheese to the filling and also on the top for serving...I think next time I will try a little mozarella cheese in the filling as well. Made for I Recommend Tag.
This was great. Will be making again.
This was pretty good...easy to make and had a good taste. I did add some shredded mozzarella cheese on top. I do like the breadcrumbs mixed in with the hamburger meat; it seems to make it easier to stuff the manicotti. Thanks for posting LizCl!
