Easy Macaroni Salad With Shrimp

"This is my own recipe and the celery seed and the shrimp blend perfectly. Only 5 ingredients and easy to make. The longer it sits, the more flavorful it becomes, I like to make mine the night before we are going to eat it. Also great served on crackers as an appetizer."

  1. This is the recipe that I grew up on! I love it. My great grandmother used to make it.

  2. I also added about 1/4 C of celery, green onions, and sliced black olives. I also added 2 eggs and used sweet pickle relish.

  3. Great recipe, my family really enjoyed it. I did add celery & onions. Let it chill overnight to bring the flavours together. Will be making this often & leaving it in the frig. For late dinners. Thank you Dawnab!

  4. This is a good basic salad. I just couldn't leave it alone, though. I added diced red onion and celery along with sliced black olives, chunked imitation crab and minced fresh parsley. I also mistakenly used celery salt instead of the celery seeds. After sitting overnight, all the flavors blended well and made a great salad. This was my contribution to the salad bar at a community event. The bowl was cleaned quickly.
