Made this as directed. It came out pretty sticky and cheese never did melt all the way. Had to add much more milk because it kept getting so dry.

What a terrific, easy recipe! I normally spend a ton of time on a baked macaroni and cheese with 7 different cheeses...this was SO easy, and I honestly think my family enjoyed it more. I quadrupled the recipe to bring to a church function, and it came out great! Definately will make again...thanks!

This is so good! I used cavatappi noodles so I doubled the rest of the ingredients. It is so creamy and good! Thank you for sharing.

I wasn't sure how this would turn out but was pleasantly surprised. Super easy and perfect for weeknight dinner. I used 1% milk and added some fresh ground black pepper. My soon-to-be 9 year old loved it. I really enjoyed it as well. Thanks for posting!

I was skeptical about this but I had to try it because it was so easy. This turned out wonderful. I really enjoyed it. Who knew homemade mac & cheese could be so easy?!

Wow wow and wow. Very simple and good recipe. I used rigitoni, instead of elbow mac (its what I had). Season with a little pepper at the end and delicious!!!

I wish I could give this recipe 10 stars. No, 15. Why? Well, this is the easiest mac and cheese recipe I've ever tried. But that's not the only reason-- it's also the tastiest. I think everybody is looking for something different in the "perfect" mac and cheese. Some like creamy, some like thick, some like sharp cheeses. There are all sorts of opinions. But for me, this is exactly what I'm looking for: creamy, not too heavy, not at all floury, perfect. Perfect. And too easy to be believed. Thanks Chelsea... finally, my search for the perfect mac and cheese recipe is over. Not to be dramatic, but I feel like I've been searching forever!

I just made this for dinner. It was great. It's better after it sits a while, and I really like the one pan clean up. Thanks for posting it.

I LOVE mac and cheese and this was very good and easy. I have to admit that the method was unusual and I made some changes with ingredients so I wasn't sure how it would turn out but after reading the reviews I had to try it. I used 2 cups milk and 1 cup water and used light tub margarine. It turned out beautifully and was nice and creamy but as it cooled it became slightly gritty. This was probably due to the changes I made. I will definitely make again! Thanks for a new way to make one of my favorites Chelsea!

Very quick and easy. I used mini penne (no macaroni on hand), 1% milk, and sharp cheddar (added extra). I thought the preparation was a little unusual, but the final result was surprisingly good. Thanks for posting the recipe!

I absolutely DETEST mac and cheese, but tried this for PAC. Considering how much I really dislike mac and cheese, I will honestly say this is delicious. It was absolutely "easy", but also really good. I followed the recipe exactly, BUT I added a little extra cheese. I am going to try to warm it for dinner, and not sure how that will work, but right now, I'm actually enjoying mac and cheese!!!!!

Seriously, the best macaroni and cheese in the entire world. Easy to make. I used sharp cheddar and added cubed ham. It's perfect!

i made this last night and it was awesome. the sauce was rich, creamy and delish. I doubled the recipe and combined sharp and mild cheddar. I let it stand for about 5 minutes before serving and the sauce thickened up nicely. I will be making this one again and again.

This was great! It was so easy and quick. Mine did not need the full 15 minutes to simmer. It was done in about 10 minutes. I used sharp cheddar and followed the recipe exactly. Next time I would probably decrease the salt to 1/2 teaspoon as it was a little salty for us. Thanks for sharing!

This is such a neat recipe! I was surprised when I saw you boiled the macaroni in the milk but really surprised that you also had the butter and flour in there when you did it. I wondered if the amount of flour was right (I thought maybe it should be Tbls.) but it turned out perfectly! It was a bit soupy when I put it in the serving bowl but thickened up beautifully when it cooled slightly. This is such a great option when there isn't time to make baked macaroni and cheese but it is so rich and creamy I know I'll make it even when I have plenty of time. :) Thanks!
