Very few ingredients but delicious.
- 8 lamb shanks
- 800 g canned tomatoes
- 12 baby potatoes
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 300 g canned butter beans, drained
- 1⁄2 cup red wine
- 40 g French onion soup mix
- chopped parsley, to serve
- Combine all ingredients in slow cooker insert.
- Cook for 10 hours on medium.
- Sprinkle with parsley to serve.
This is a great recipe. I omitted the beans and carrots and added a couple cloves of minced garlic and chopped onion. I slow cooked 4 medium shanks on low for 8 hours and they came out perfect! Falling off the bone. The best part is DH loved it, he was talking about how good they were for days! Thanks.
Great recipe! Mine cooked in a lot less time (about 6 hours instead of the 10 mentioned in the recipe).
Absolutely wonderful! This was one of the first recipes I have tried from this site. It was great! It is simple with few ingredients and utilized the crock pot. Cant get any easier than that. Easy and delicious. My family loved it! Thank you Wendy!
