Loved these!! I used whole kernal corn, very chunky, juicy texture...even had some for breakfast the next day! My husband and kids would probably like them even more if i had used the cream corn, i'll have to try that next time. I did add a little parsley to batter and a tiny bit of fresh ground pepper. Definitely not your typical hush puppy...so much better!
- 1⁄2 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 can corn (whole or creamy)
- 1⁄2 finely chopped onion
- 1⁄4-1⁄2 cup beer or 1⁄4-1⁄2 cup milk
- 2 cups cooking oil
