  1. I have 8 kids my sister and mom here for the weekend. Was looking for a quick easy meal. Made this without onion. 4 boxes, 2 cans soup, 2 cans milk. Topped with cheese. Everyone loved it.

  2. I made to recipe but I topped with some shredded cheese. I thought it was great, but my wife didn't care for it.

  3. I've been making this dish for my family and in home daycare kids for years. It is simple to make and anyone that likes mac and cheese will like it. We leave out the mushrooms, but sometimes add some fresh broccoli before baking. Yummy! Easy to double and you can stretch your food dollar with some extra macaroni.

  4. This was so easy and cheap to make. My kids thought this was the best. DH and I liked it and will make again for the easy and convenience of it. THank you for posting.

  5. I found this lacking in flavor - it's a bit bland. If anyone can suggest some seasoning to add, I'd be interested. That being said, I did eat more than one serving, and my toddler ate it as well. It's quick and filling.

Tweaks

  1. This is a very good casserole. I did however, made a few changes. I used 1-(7.25 oz. ) box of Kraft Mac'N Cheese for this recipe. I didn't have cream of mushroom soup on hand, so I used cream of chicken soup instead. I also added 2/3 to 3/4 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and seasoned with crushed red pepper flakes, along with Mrs. Dash ( Origional Blend )Salt Free Seasoning, before baking. After 35 minutes of baking, I removed casserole from oven, and topped with 1/4 cup more of the shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and sprinkled on some French's Cheddar flavored French Fried Onions; returned to oven, and baked ( uncovered ) for 4 minutes more. "Thank-you" for the recipe Kristen, hubby and I enjoyed it.
