Easy and tasty way to make string beans in fact I didn't eat string beans before I made them this way....and now I won't eat them any other way. Great served with London Broil.
- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons McCormick's Montreal Brand steak seasoning
- Clean string beans& snap ends off.
- Fill a frying pan with water and cook string beans for about 25 minutes or until tender.
- Drain and dump in serving dish add butter and Seasoning and stir around to cover.
Like another reviewer I used two cans of green beans instead of fresh. The Montreal Seasoning really adds flavor to the canned beans, but I added only a tablespoon of seasoning; more than that would have been too much for me. And I always cook canned green beans in bacon grease, so I used that instead of butter. Thanks for posting!
These were good and easy to make. I used two cans of green beans instead of fresh. I only added 1/2 tablespoon of seasoning. Really liked the taste. For me, a tablespoon and a half would have been too much seasoning.
I steamed my green beans instead of boiling, but otherwise followed this recipe. The steak seasoning adds a great punch of flavor to the crisp beans and took them out of the ordinary. I served these with Pesto "Fried" Chicken (recipe #55836) for a simple meal with great appeal.
