Easy Gluten Free Bread

"Super easy and fun to make. Don't get discouraged, it doesn't "golden brown" like real bread, but it tastes great! It won't really RISE, but the baking powder helps the best it can. Don't use all brown rice flour or the bread will be too mushy. Use a mixture of brown rice and white rice flour. You can add cheese or cinnamon and/or spices to make a "cinnamon" recipe. *Make in small batches because after a few days it gets crumbly. You can freeze the loaves after you bake them, then let them thaw (NOT IN THE FRIDGE!) and then you can heat it up and it's like you just baked it!* You may want to double or triple the recipe if you want to slice it up and use it for sandwiches or toast."

  1. I love this recipe. Its easy and quick and very good. You can double it or leave it as is. I did change a couple of things. I use Bisquick Gluten Free and i don't add the sugar or salt and instead of a egg i use applesauce. I prefer Musselman's and i use 1 snack size per 1 egg. It's normally 1/4 cup applesauce per 1 egg. I also use alittle less than 1/8 cup of oil. I feel like recipes always want to much oil in them. And this recipe lets you add all kinds of things: raisins, mashed bananas, any type of fruit really. Chocolate chips, nuts, cinnamon, pumpkin. And as for the milk you can use almond milk, rice milk, coconut milk, etc. The bread doesn't brown on the top but I'm perfectly okay with that and it only takes 20 minutes. I keep in in the refrigerator in a container. Yummy! Thank you for your recipe.

  2. I didn't really like this when it came out of the oven. I used 2 teaspoons of baking powder gave it a strong flavor. 2 egg replacer. Cinnamon and raisins. I found that it was like coffee cake so I added a sweet topping. marshmallows, butter, powdered sugar & milk all melted together and put on top. I will make this again but I will add brown sugar, cinnamon and raisins to the batter. I will also try to add pumpkin and make a pumpkin bread.
