A standby of my mother's for Sunday dinners. She called them "Greek Onions" though I have my doubts that Greek cooks would recognize the recipe.
- Put onions in a 1½ quart casserole.
- Mix honey with catsup and pour over onions.
- Bake at 350°F 15 minutes.
I ued fresh onions, quartered. Mixed a bit of Balsamic vinegar with the honey & catsup and they were wonderful - baked 15 minutes. They still had some crunch. I will try this again using bottled onions but love the fresh ones too Thanks eebrag
These are really good. I used four 1015 sweet onions and sliced them thin. I doubled the sauce and cooked them about 30 minutes and they came out great.
These are really good! I only had regular onions, which I sliced thin, then mixed them with the honey/ketchup mixture, and baked in the woodstove. They came out beautifully. I made this for the Healthy Choices tag game. Thank you for sharing.
