Wonderful! And so easy! I grew up with my mom making doughnuts every Sat. morning with canned biscuits. I loved them! And now living in SA, I can't get the canned biscuits. I have tried many doughnut recipes and some of them have been very good but I was looking for something easy and delicious and now I have found it! Thanks! Made for ZWT6.

These were simple to make, and similar to cake doughnuts. I was amazed at the amount of oil that they absorbed! I got 18 doughnuts that grew to twice their original size while frying. For ZWT6 N.

I made these today as Chanukah starts this evening. They were wonderful! The yeast doughnut recipes are too complex and take too long but this was terribly quick and simple. I added extra fresh ground nutmeg and they WERE incredible! I finished making them about an hour ago...now they're GONE! Thanks for posting!

Delicious and oh so easy to get together. I only made half the recipe. I used sugar and then also cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling, and loved them either way. I loved that it isn't just plain cake batter and the nutmeg added great flavor. Thanks Mama for posting, made for bevy tag.

These were simple and easy. Made more than a dozen with this batch using a teaspoonful for each drop. They also cook quickly, with some crispiness on the outside but soft in the inside. Loved having this with coffee. DH said I should have used real sugar for the coating instead of sugar substitute to avoid the aftertaste. Will do that next time. Thanks!

These doughnuts were so fantastic that I ended up making two batches, which I shared with some of my neighbors. All of us have rated these wonderful. The doughnuts were crispy, with a soft and tender cake like inside and oh so flavorful. I rolled some in plain icing sugar, plain white sugar and in cinnamon sugar and also in icing sugar with nutmeg. All versions were very tasty and enjoyed by all. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely treat that was quick and easy to make.

I loved the flavor and texture of these cake doughnuts, but something seemed off. They turned out too crisp and crumbly, so I didn't get to enjoy the great flavor until I got to the middle. I used canola oil, so I think that may have altered it some. Thanks for the recipe, I'm going to try it again with vegetable oil, and possibly less nutmeg.

These were super good, super easy, and super gone!! I made up half a batch using 1 egg yolk. The kids and hubby ate 2 each and took the rest to school. We got 8 out of half a batch. I made them up with powdered sugar. I think I'll try with cinnamon sugar next time or maybe even a chocolate glaze. Thanks, mama's kitchen!

Yummy and easy. I used cinnamon and sugar to coat our doughnuts. I will definately be making these again.
