I cannot eat much sugar or fat due to health issues, so I tweaked a basic teriyaki marinade to fit my lifestyle.
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Splenda granular
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
- Combine all ingredients thoroughly.
- Pour over meat, fish, tofu or vegetables and let sit at least 8 hours.
