Another winner of a recipe using fruit. You hit the mark with the ingredients for sure! I could not find rice flour so used a GF baking mix and it worked fine. Loved the cinnamon and as is my normal addition put a bit of ground nutmeg in there too! I did used blanched almond slivers which worked well. Just loved this dessert and can see I'll be making this again for sure. Tagged in Went to the Market tag game.
Crumble is my fave dessert so I could not resist this one. I left my apples unpeeled and also added some diced apricots and the flour I used was "normal". Delicious result !
This was awesome and so quick. I left the peel on the apples which were thinly sliced and arranged in multiple layers. I added pecans to the topping as well as the almonds. This is one that I will save for later. Made for my teammate in the Aussie Swap.
This is pretty good and very easy. Some recipes require you to cook the apples first. I had them in the oven for 10 more minutes (in an 8x8 dish), but I think if I had done it in a larger dish with one layer, it would have cooked quicker. My 7 yo helped to make this. It's nice to have a gf recipe for this. Thanks.
The DH gave it the thumbs down and a 3 but I thought if was quite good and the DS and DM loved it. I used all gluten free plain (all purpose ) flour as I could not get tapioca starch but otherwise followed the recipe using roasted almonds slivers, I baked it at 175C fan forced for 35 minutes but still not golden and left it to the DH to crisp under the grill/broiler but he left if a little bit to long so it was a little burnt on top though not badly so but one I would consider when DH on night shift as crumbles/crisps are not his type of desert.
