Very tasty, made it using wine the 1st time and beef broth the 2nd. Great Sunday Dinner!!
I love this recipe. It's so easy to prepare, economical (less than $20) and yummy! i found this recipe last year, and have made it at least 6 times (especially for family dinners or parties). usually i add baby carrots, and just rub the beef chuck with some salt and/or garlic powder. The wine makes a difference :) it adds a twist to the recipe.
This was extremely easy and turned out very well. Thanks so much!
This was fantastic! It has great flavor. Loved the french onion soup. I used half water and half beef broth instead of the wine. Will be making this a lot I'm sure. Thanks for posting this recipe.
This was really good, though I didn't have french onion soup. Unfortunately, my BF doesn't care for mushrooms so I left them out. I used beef broth and added sliced onion, celery and potato to the crock-pot. It turned out great! Thanks for the yummy recipe! :)
Very easy and yummy! Thanks!!
Possibly the meat but this was not very good at all.
Just wanted to let you know that this is AWESOME! The only reason I can think of that the meat would NOT be tender would be the crock pot. This is truly WONDERFUL! Just like my mom used to make!
I have to be honest, I've tried this recipe twice, and each time my meat came out tough. Maybe it was the cuts of meat I was using, but overall, I was very disappointed with the results. Everyone else seems to love this recipe, so I'm going to assume it's the meat, but all in all, the flavor wasn't great and the meat was tough.
I just got home from work and the whole house smells wonderful-i tasted the pot roast and it is delish and very easy to make. thank you.
