I've been making lasagna once a week for the past few weeks, since the 6-year-old ds declared himself a lasagna conoisseur last month. I've been making the Pepperoni Lasagna (recipe #43573), as it's his favorite, but it just takes so long. I decided to try to find a lasagna for the crockpot that might work for us. This is pretty darn close. I did throw in a little extra cheese, since I had some that needed to be used up, but I won't do that next time. It was a bit too cheesy for my tastes. I have no idea how many lasagna noodles are in 8 oz, so I just used 9 noodles total. That seemed to work well. The sauce still tasted fairly "ketchupy" to me when I combined the ingredients, so I ended up added about 2 tsp of Italian seasoning and about 1 1/2 tsp of cumin. I would definitely do that again. I also added a can of sliced mushrooms, to put in a little extra veggies. I really think it would do well with some shredded zucchini or something. I doubt it would even be noticeable. As always, I subbed ground turkey for ground beef. The family loved this, though. I want to look through some other recipes and maybe tweak the sauce a bit, but this is an excellent jumping-off point for an easy crockpot lasagna recipe.

This was my first try at lasagna and it was great! My hubby loved it and was impressed. I used a sm. tub of ricotta instead of the cottage cheese and about 3 c. mozz and it turned out perfect, so yummy for leftovers and so easy toput together. Thank you for posting!

I have made this several times and love how easy it is! I have even had a bunch of left over spaghetti meat sauce and some extra wide whole wheat noodles and layered it up lasagna style in the crock pot and it was delicious! I would rather make it this way then the oven way because I love crock pot meals that are ready when I get home from work!!

My wife makes a mean traditional lasagna but even she liked this. We will definitely make this again.

This was very easy to put together and tasted great.....we just missed the pan lasagna with the baked cheese on top. I will probably bake this in the oven next time.

A very easy, very tasty crock pot dish. My whole family loved it. This will be a regular on the menu and I don't think I'll bother making Lasagna in the oven again.

Excellent Recipe! This comes out wonderfully in the crock pot. We like the fact that there are no crispy edges, it is all tender and easy for the kids to eat. I've thrown away my old lasagna recipe!

Very tasty! Made exactly like the recipe reads with one exception. I added 1/2 pound Italian sweet sausage to the ground beef. When I asked my DH "is it good?", he said "It's better than good - it's delicious!" That's enough to make it a keeper for me. Thanks Lanae!

This was very easy to make and tasted like any other baked lasagne. I followed the recipe and it turned out great. Thanks for posting.

Super delicious and easy! I was skeptical on that much cheese, but it was not stringy it was perfectly delicious. My kids 5 and 7 yo ate a whole bowl with no fussing!

This was amazing, so much better than other lasagna recipes I have tried in the crock pot. I used 1 cup of ricotta cheese instead of the cottage cheese and only 2 cups of mozzarella with 1 cup of sharp cheddar, and the flavor was wonderful. Also, it only took about 3-1/2 hours to cook. Thanks for posting!

This was a big hit at our house. I made one change though. I topped it off with a layer of cheddar cheese.

I've NEVER made lasagna of any kind. So this was my first attempt. We loved it!! It really was very easy to prepare, and I found it didn't really even take the 4 hours. HJR's only suggestion is that we add mushrooms next time. Thanks for sharing!

Very good! It only took about 3 1/2 hrs. to cook. I used a jar of spagehtti sauce and 6 oz of goya sofrito seasoning since that was all I had on hand. I added to eggs to the cheese to bind them. Awesome way to make lasagne, I will make it again at home and for work fundraiser potlucks!

This was a good Lasagna. Even my picky DS-5 enjoyed. The cheese layer wasn't as creamy as I would hope, but I will tinker and make again and again.

VERY yummy lasagna. It was very hardy and very beefy - 2 "musts" if I intend to serve it to my husband. I didn't have enough mozzarella, so I used up all the shredded cheese I had, which included some colby-jack cheese - it was good! Thank you!

I defintely will make again! The kids and I loved it! I substituted 1/2 of the ground beef with ground turkey and only used 2 cups of mozzarella cheese to reduce the fat. It still was very flavorful and actully reminds me of the Staufers brand frozen lasagna. This is the best thing that has ever come out of my crock pot! Thank you sooooo much for posting!
