Quickly and easily made with a minimum of mayonnaise.
- 1 lb crabmeat
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
- salt and pepper
- 1 dash pepper sauce
- Blend all ingredients.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs over top with several pats of butter.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
This was so easy to make and delicious. This one goes in my favorites!
Simplicity itself, but the taste of crab is superbly delicious without additions! This is the classic Coastal Carolina recipe I grew up with. I omit the salt and pepper, adding them to personal taste after serving. I use only 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Thanks Mermaid for a recipe that cannot be bettered.
