We enjoyed this, very tasty and easy too! I cut the recipe in half and I only did 1 teaspoon of curry (we have some "adult" babies here. LOL Also, I added a dash more tabasco as well. Thanks for posting. Made for ZWT 6, Zingo.
Used good ol' Maryland Crabs, (jumbo lump) and the addition of the curry is way over the top good!! I added more the usual amount of tabasco sauce and also 1 teaspoon of Old Bay Seasoning. Loved the sherry addition too! :) Good tasting!! Made for ZWT6 - 2010

Great soup and ready in no time. I made half a batch for lunch today. Hubby especially enjoyed the hit of sherry. I garnished liberally with coriander (cilantro). Thanks for posting.
I loved this soup... So easy and I added a bit more hot sauce because we like heat. I subbed non-fat half-and-half to reduce the calories a bit and used imitation crab meat (I know, but it was good in this recipe!) The soup is so flavorful that the crab seems to be more for texture anyway. Makes a great lunch. ZINGO ZWT 6 Unrulies Under the Influence - Thank you
I was not a fan of this recipe but Iâ€™ve been spoiled by fresh ingredients in my crab soups. We were also out of the dry sherry that I usually use in cooking and what DH gave me was a bit sweeter than I would have liked â€“ no fault of the recipe. DD & DS said it was too spicy (finicky eaters) however, DH absolutely raved over this soup and cleaned up the leftovers the following day. That coupled with the ease of preparation makes it a keeper in my book. Next time I'll use the proper sherry and skip the tabasco to see how it goes with the kids. Thanks for sharing!
