This is the simplest cornbread recipe you will ever find. It's a sweet twist on a classic. The cornbread comes out perfect every time. We like to slather it with butter and enjoy it with a beef roast or beef stew. Adding 1/3 cup of sugar is just an estimate...I probably add closer to 1/2 cup.
Ingredients:
-
1 (8 ½ ounce) box
Jiffy corn muffin mix
-
1
egg
-
1⁄3; cup
milk
-
1⁄3; cup
sugar
Directions:
1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease an 8" pan.
2
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Pour into pan.
3
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until bread is golden brown. You can also make these as muffins by using a muffin pan.
