  • Sift together dry ingredients.
  • Mix together corn and egg. Add dry ingredients. Stir slowly to blend well; do not overbeat.
  • Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into hot oil, one layer at a time. Fry about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Drain on absorbent paper, and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

  4. Excellent.My family loves them. We sometimes sprinkle white sugar on them which really makes them taste like donuts.
     
  5. These came out puffy and golden and delicious. They are not sweet but can be sweetened with powdered sugar or maple syrup when serving. My son is allergic to milk and these come out like donuts (something he can't have). My kids loved them.
