- 1 lb chicken thighs (bone in, skin on) or 1 lb chicken breast (bone in, skin on)
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1⁄2 cup seasoned rice vinegar (I like to use Marukan)
- 1⁄2 cup white vinegar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon peppercorn
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 garlic clove (crushed and chopped)
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons sugar

- Wash chicken well.
- Put all ingredients into a medium to large cooking pot.
- Let chicken soak in pot for 30 minutes.
- Turn stove to medium heat, and bring ingredients to a boil.
- Let boil, without stirring, for 30 minutes.
- Turn heat to low, and let simmer for 15 minutes longer, or until chicken is cooked through.
