Just what I was looking for! I bought a can of sauce for recipe that was a horrid flavor, and poured it out... then proceeded to make this one in it's place. Perfect for "enchilada-style" burritos. I'll add just a bit more chili powder next time. As is, is just a little mild for my tastes. Glad to find a recipe that uses things always in my cupboard!!
Great flavor in this sauce! Perfect for the enchiladas I was making! We will use this from now on, because it tastes so much better than the stuff in the can!

This really does make a nice spicy sauce. I decided to go with fresh onion and garlic, but did not change anything else. The parmesan is a nice touch and, even though I included it, I can't for the life of me figure out what the baking powder is for!
Yummy. Made a nice spicy sauce, a perfect substitution for the canned stuff. Used smoked paprika. I didn't add the parmesan or the baking powder (I forgot both), but it was still very good. Perfect for Deb's easy cheesy enchiladas #142081.
