Easy cheese scones - in a hurry.

Love these as they are made in a flash with a few ingredients that I always have.

  1. Preheat oven to very hot- 225 degrees C.
  2. Mix flour, cheese, milk and salt together until combined.
  3. The mixture is fairly moist and sticky.
  4. Put about a rounded tablespoon of mixture onto a greased tray.
  5. Makes 10- 12 scones approx.
  6. Sprinkle on the paprika if you wish.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes.
  8. I turn the tray round half way through cooking for an even result.
  9. Best served warm- split and serve with butter (optional).

Very good, and EASY. Missing something.. an herb.. sauteed onion/garlic. As a note, 225C=436F and if you dont have self rising flour, add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt.

OMG... That was sooooooo easy and so delicious. I didn't have self rising flour so I used 1 cup of regular flour with 1.5 teaspoons of baking power. I've been searching for a simple easy recipe. Thank you for sharing and if I could give more stars for something so simple I would.

Brilliant! I doubled the recipe and added an egg and some spring onions and I used strong mature cheddar. Absolutely delicious... Thanks!
