Only 4 ingredients for this simple, but easy sauce. This can be chilled and reheated -- or -- frozen in small containers. Perfect for OMAC
- Combine 1-1/2 cup sugar and water in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat without stirring 6 - 10 minutes. Dip brush in cold water and brush down sides.
- Add remaining sugar. Cook until amber in color. Use caution at this point as the sauce can turn very quickly.
- Heat cream and add to sugar mixture. Use caution as sauce will bubble up. Combine well and remove from heat to cool down.
- Once cooled somewhat, add 2 T butter.
