I had to omit the capers cause they turned out bad. I used a yellow tomato from my garden. It was great. DH loved it. Thanks Dawn :) Made for Healthy tag game

Made this for one! It was fabulous with homegrown tomato and freshly picked basil! Caprese represents summer to me and this is very delicous! I did not use the capers because I do not care for them! Thanks for posting! This was great! Made for Home Garden and Farmer's Market Event in the Photo Forum!

I make this often, and it is often served with Italian dishes at my house, and sometimes as an appetizer. No matter what way I have it, it is always well received and loved!

My favorite summer salad....wish fresh garden tomatoes were available all year long.
I don't generally use the capers.

Easy recipe, reminds me of summer despite the fact there are no decent tomatoes in Ohio in February. I didn't have capers, but it tasted great regardless.

This is one of my favorite salads and I absolutely LOVE the addition of capers to it. Wonderful! I can't wait to make it again when the home grown tomatoes come out. This a a great recipe and I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks so much for sharing, Dawn.

Great!! The capers were a nice touch that you usually don't see with this salad when it's served in Italian restaurants. I threw in a little aged balsamic vinegar too and it was wonderful. Try that sometime!

This salad is simply divine. Flavorful, healthy, great eye appeal, and easy to make. Summer tomatoes are the way to go with this salad, but I had to use some large Romas. I used fresh basil from my herb garden. I loved the addition of the capers. Thanks, Dawn for sharing your recipe.

This tasted like a mouthful of summer. We used big, fresh, ripe tomatoes and fresh buffalo mozzarella from the farmer's market and basil from our own yard. This is so easy to put together and we enjoyed it so much. Thanks Dawn!
