  1. I made this for dessert tonight, and boy was it delicious! I made it in an 11x7x2 glass dish, and used 9 ice cream sandwiches. I put a layer of caramel sundae sauce over the ice cream sandwiches before spreading on the cool whip. I used 1/4 cup hot fudge sauce. My entire family raved about it, and I will definately make it again! My only mistake was letting it sit out during dinner to make it easier to cut...it should be taken out right before serving, cut, and eaten immediately. Thanks for posting!

  2. Huge hit at my Sunday Dinner...the kids just gobbled it up....so darn simple too..

  4. This recipe is a sure thing! It is deceivingly elegant, and no one who has found out my secret believes how easy it is! I took it to a dinner party last week, and someone asked, "so tell me...first do you slice the cake layers and then what?" I don't know if it's better before you know it is just ice cream sandwiches and cool whip, or after!

  5. I was looking for a make-ahead dessert. I didn't know I would find such a fantastic recipe. I made it for my bridge ladies and they each copied the recipe before they left. I also added a layer carmel sauce on the ice cream sandwiches before adding the Cool Whip. I added 2 Butterfingers instead of one. Next time I will use three. The ladies wanted more Butterfingers. This was the best!

I live in a small town. I am a stay at home mom of one. For fun me and my husband try new recipes that I find. I don't have a favorite cookbook because I like them all. I love to try new recipes. but hate when they don't turn out. <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket">
