- 2 (566.99 g) package frozen chopped broccoli
- 236.59 ml water
- 14.79 ml dried onion or 14.79 ml dried chives
- 283.49 g can cream of mushroom soup
- 354.88 ml milk
- 29.58 ml butter
- 226.79 g Velveeta cheese, cubed
directions
- Cook the broccoli in the water until tender but not mushy.
- Stir in onion or chives, cream of mushroom soup, milk and butter.
- Heat to a simmer and cook three minutes, stirring well.
- Add cheese and stir until it melts.
- Serve immediately.

I thought that this recipe was really great as a base! I saw that another review stated that it was too watery. I cooked the broccoli in the microwave (with little to no water), used 1/2 cup skim milk, 3/4 cup chicken broth, 1 1/2 shallots, light mushroom soup, no butter and 4 oz of light cream cheese and 4 oz of light velveeta. It is fantastic!! Not thin at all! Definitely will make again!
