I first made this using prepared gravy. The flavor was good but the gravy was way too thin with the liquid that cooked out of the meat. Sometimes I let the meat cook for a couple of hours without adding anything, pour off the liquid then add the gravy mix. I like a really thick gravy with this. I serve it over mashed potatoes or rice. Also very good on buns with peppers and onions.

I added in 1 c. water and 1 onion, sliced. Made a great gravy and flavored the beef beautifully! We had it over creamy mashed potatoes with carrots on the side. I will make again when we feel like something comforting. Thanks for sharing!
