Great way to dress up canned beans, I made these tonight with our hamburgers and they were really good, not too sweet. Thank you for posting!

Great baked beans - loved the ease of preparation and that they are not overly sweet. I halved the recipe and baked in a 1-quart casserole in my toaster oven for 45 minutes.

I usually cringe when trying new recipes. The finished product is rarely what I had hoped or expected it to be. However, I followed this recipe (minus the mustard) for my first ever attempt at baked beans and everyone loved them! Thank you for a great recipe that turned out great on the first attempt!! Definitely a keeper :)

yay, this is the recipe I came on to post from my mom's old and tattered Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. I have doubled, tripled, and even quintupled (is that a word) this recipe for parties always with good results. The only difference is that her book says to cook at 325 for the same 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours uncovered, Thanks for posting!

I made as written except for the bacon. Great side for brisket. I did mine in the microwave.

Ah, great minds think alike! This is the same recipe I use, given to me years ago by my brother-in-law Duane. Very simple and very flavorful, plus not too sweet like many of the bean recipes are. Thanks for posting!

Excellent recipe, thanks for posting. One of my Families Favorite side dishes when we have Hamburgers but we only bake it for 1 hr. or until hot and bubbly.
