I thought I read it by mistake that this recipe only calls for 4 tsps of flour. I was looking for an easy bake cake for my 3 year old sho just decided he wants to have a cake. Surprisingly, thsi turned out to be really good. I baked it in my toaster oven using cupcake molds. I was on;y able to make two half-filled cupcakes. I put a small dollop of whipped cream on top and we were both happy. I teach my child portion control when it comes to sweets and this fit us perfectly.

We thought this was very chocolaty and yummy! Thanks to whoever came up with the recipe. The only issue we had was the top of the cake skimmed the top of the oven doors when pulled out. I don't know if this makes a diff but ....1.) We have the older model oven...2.) I doubled the recipe to make two cake layers...3.) I added a little extra sugar because the batter tasted a little bitter. We put a little less batter in the second pan and didn't have the problem. We used the Easy bake chocolate frosting. I didn't think it was very good but my kiddo liked it just fine. I then added a few drops of melted butter and it was much better.

Top of my daughter's Christmas List? An Easy Bake Oven. Well Santa came thru, and I was a bit apprehensive about letting her eat the mixes it came with.... Especially because we are pretty healthy eaters and use mostly organic ingredients. But I digress... We used one mix (disgusting!) And then I had an epiphany, make my own mixes.

This mix was good, not superb... But fabulous for what it is. I am going to play around with it and see what I can add.

We used the brand new Easy Bake and the muffin pan. It made 16 cupcakes.
