VERY GOOD! I first made this around the year 2000. Very easy and tasty.
- In small saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and allspice; mix well.
- Stir in apple juice.
- Cook over medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil and thickens, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat; set aside.
- Serve warm.
I doubled the recipe when I made this syrup, & it's a great, easy-to-make topping for lots of things! We've already enjoyed it on waffles & on a couple of different pound cakes along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream ~ I even like it as a dip for biscotti! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
