This is a recipe that I've developed through trial and error. These taste best when served piping hot, so be sure to make these just before you're ready to sit down to eat. Simply delicious! :)
- 1 (540 g) can creamed corn
- 3 cups flour
- 1⁄2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 lightly beaten eggs
- oil (for frying)
- Mix all ingredients together except the oil.
- Drop by tbspful into the hot oil.
- Turn again when golden brown.
These were easy to make and had ingredients that I always have on hand. We found them to be a little bland and wished they had more corn in them. I think some chopped onion and even some pepper would have helped. Saw on another recipe that they are sometimes served with syrup, so we tried that and it helped. Thanks for sharing Ranikabani. I agree, this recipe is great but it needs the chopped onion I tried it with the onion, some red pepper, paragon, sesame seats and some corn mixed in to add texture
