If you can plug in a crockpot you can make the most delicious chicken ever. This chicken is so tender that it is easy to shred for sandwiches. I can't remember where I got this recipe, but it can really get you through the lean times of the month.
- 3 -5 lbs bone-in chicken
- 1 large red onion, chopped
- 1 (16 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce (I recommend Kraft Original)
- Put all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low 6-8 hours.
- That's it!
It turned out good, but I had to crisp it in the oven before serving.
I skinned my chicken first, then followed directions. Next time I won't use the neck, as picking out those small bones was difficult. This recipe will be as good as the BBQ sauce one uses, so use the best. I'll add some garlic next time. Easy and tasty.
