I had French Onion Soup at a restaurant yesterday and when discussing it with my mother, she said "Oh you have got to try this!", She is on WW and is having this for lunch everday. I hope you like it as much as we do. I just finished a bowl. You can bake this in the oven if you want to toast your cheese alittle bit, but for yummy, it's really not neccessary.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 297.66 g can French onion soup (Campbells condensed, made with beefstock. The can does not say soup but I had to add it on for the r)
  • 78.07 ml water (optional)
  • 118.29 ml crouton
  • 1 slice provolone cheese

  1. Heat the soup on the stove or in a bowl in the microwave.
  2. Add croutons.
  3. Top with cheese.
  4. Let cheese melt.
  5. It's that easy! Enjoy!

This is very easy and tastes just like what a restaurant would serve. Next time I will buy 2 cans of soup for the two of us. Thanks

This was so good and easy. I had a can of French Onion soup and didn't know what to do with it. It was great and matched with a salad, made for a wonderful lunch. Thanks Tina!!

I do like me homemade french onion soup. I'll post it sometime. but this is great. Dinner in minutes and it is good (wish I could find low sodium Campbells onion soup but I suppose spurging once a while won't hurt. I put it under the broiler and used a piece of french bread since that is what I had. I did have the cheese. Thanks for a great quick recipe. I will definitely make it again. When I have time I'd probably use my grandma's recipe but this is a keeper.
