This is very easy and tastes just like what a restaurant would serve. Next time I will buy 2 cans of soup for the two of us. Thanks
This was so good and easy. I had a can of French Onion soup and didn't know what to do with it. It was great and matched with a salad, made for a wonderful lunch. Thanks Tina!!
I do like me homemade french onion soup. I'll post it sometime. but this is great. Dinner in minutes and it is good (wish I could find low sodium Campbells onion soup but I suppose spurging once a while won't hurt. I put it under the broiler and used a piece of french bread since that is what I had. I did have the cheese. Thanks for a great quick recipe. I will definitely make it again. When I have time I'd probably use my grandma's recipe but this is a keeper.
This is a fav - if you put it in an oven-safe bowl and melt the cheese in the oven broiler (where it browns) it is extra lovely!
some days you just need the easy stuff lol
I don't believe I would ever see this here! I have a great recipe for French Onion soup from scratch but this is my old standby when I don't feel like going all the way; I add 1/4 cup dry sherry to your recipe and it makes me feel really special. Tell your Mom this is a 5* for sure;my DH's review.
If you add a beef cube of your own a little more water and some carmelized onion. It becomes so much like the best onion soup in the world. LOL.
