Dutch Lettuce Dressing

At our recent family reunion, my grandmother prepared a salad with this dressing. A Little tangy and quite addictive. The recipe came from a clipping in an Indianapolis newspaper. I halved the recipe for the salad I was making last night, but next time I will quarter it, a little goes a long way. Delicious none the less!

This is an excellent dressing! I made 1/4 of the recipe. It is a creamy dressing and so simple to make. I served it over a spinach salad. I think warming it just melded the flavors. The contrast of the warm dressing over a salad was delicious. DH was thrilled I used Miracle Whip because he is a Miracle Whip fan (I love mayo). As I was preparing this and test tasting (of course), the idea came to me that this could be used in deviled eggs or a pasta salad and would make a really good sandwich spread.   1. Combine salad dressing, mustard, sugar, salt, pepper and celery salt.
  2. Warm in microwave oven or in the top of a double boiler.
  3. Dressing may be refrigerated and reheated as needed.
  4. Mix desired amount with a tossed salad.
