You really need to eat it with some sort of sauce because by itself it is bland. Next time I'll add sauteed onions and parsley to it. My daughter LOVED them, though. But she's 4 and a picky eater who doesn't like any spices... so she would like this bland food.
This is a wonderful recipe, lighter than the one I currently use! These are not usually meant to be eaten alone, but with a sauce. I love this with red saucy dishes, like paprikas or a rich game stew. I don't have a microwave, so rolled it in foil and boiled them for about 20 minutes. I even snuck in half a cup of whole wheat flour, turned out perfect!
