This is a deliciously different type of dip. Thicker than most. This recipe comes from a cookbook Favorites from Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis.Published around 1986 I think. Add less or more mayonnaise to suit your taste.


  1. Fry bacon till crisp, Drain.
  2. Crumble in large bowl. Add cheese and chopped onions.
  3. Mix with mayonnaise until a consisteny to dip.
  4. Use Wheat Thins to dip.

I was going to make this recipe as written but decided it would make more dip than I needed so I only put in 8 ounces of shredded cheddar. I didn't measure the mayonnaise and it was more like a spread for crackers than a dip. It was delicious and everyone requested the recipe.

This excellent dip was a huge hit at our Happy Hour. The bacon gave it a great hearty flavor that will surely please everyone. I made it in the morning to allow the flavors to meld. Thanks again, Baby Chevelle, for another great recipe.
