I didn't frost these cupcakes - instead I did a double-dip in the glaze, letting the cupcakes dry in between dips. HEAVEN! - they were moist and totally delicious! :)
I could not get the glaze to thicken. Any suggestions on how to get the glaze to thicken?

Yum! I used a mixture of Captain Morgan and Bacardi in place of the dark rum in the cake and first coat of glaze, and added a splash of Kahlua to add some color to the frosting and second coat of glaze. I also toasted a whole bag of coconut for the top of these puppies. These could stop Paula Deen's heart! A single serving is 10 points for the Weight Watchers 2012 program. Okay, I'll just have a bite and allow my skinny friends to indulge :)

I hate to admit it but these are even better than my rum soaked cake. Wonderful and sinful, but who cares!!!! Definitely an adult dessert.
